flip flop february day 28: Recreate your favorite day

 Todays theme for the last day of flip flop february is to recreate your favorite day, and I went with recreating day 21 with dots! Not necessarily my favorite, but one of them, and I couldn't decide on a favorite so I just picked one.

And I don't know what's up with the lightning the last couple days, I think maybe the sun isn't coming in my window properly like usual. But anyways. For this look I used la colors daisy for the yellow base, and then used la colors in pink bubbles just a very bright barbie type pink, and made a diagnal strip across the nail. Then used a dotting tool for the dots. 

flip flop february day 26: theme you missed/favorite polish

 day 26 is to do a theme you missed or your favorite polish. And I didn't miss any days, so I had to go with my favorite polish. but I couldn't leave it at just that, it needed to have a little something extra than just a colors, so I kinda sorta went with my favorite polish brand and now, see what I've did for today after clicking the link below

flip flop february day 25: youtube tutorial/tape

day 25! only three more days after this! sad sad times :( but todays theme is either tape or a youtube tutorial, and i don't have any tape so that ones out. But I do have a few tutorials I've been wanting to try out and haven't, so the choice is obvious. And for the look, I've chosen the tutorial below.

Flip Flop February day 24: Tissue Paper/Rainbow

 for the challenge, we have tissue paper or rainbow nails. I don't have any tissue paper, although I really want to try that technique, so maybe another time on that one, but I had an idea for rainbows floating around in my head for quite some time now, so I finally had a reason to do it!

Flip Flop february day 23: linghtning/bows

The theme for day 23 of the flip flop february challenge is lightning nails or bows. And I really liked the idea of lightning nails, and the look of them when I looked them up. So here we go! Plus.. even though bows is the one on the easy side of the challenge.. I SUCK at making them so. I need to practice that, haha. Click the link below to see more of these nails and how I did it.

 day 22, challenge is already almost over and I've had SO much fun doing all of these challenges. Anyways, todays theme is either plaid or mustache nails. And I ended up picking plaid. I tried it once before and it was kind of a disaster, so I've been looking for a good excuse to try it again, and here we go! click the link below to see todays nails.

today is day 21 of the challenge, and the theme is either dots or flames, and well, I'm not a fan of flames at all on anything, including nails, and I also can't make them to save my life so. Dots it is. now click the link below to see todays nails.

for today the theme is flowers or V-gaps. And I chose flowers, because it's something I definitely need to work on. I suck at doing flower AT ALL. I can't even draw them on paper and have it look anything close to a flower, so seriously, it needs a. lot. of. work. but lets see the nails, click the link below.

the theme for day 19 of this challenge as you see is wings/outline. I've been wanting to try both actually, but to add a little more detail an more of a challenge, for this one I picked wings to do, and assuming it meant butterfly wings, thats just what I did. Flip Flop February day 18: Galaxy/rhinestones

 

today is day 18 of the challenge an calls for galaxy nails or rhinestones. I don't have rhinestones, and I looove galaxy nails. Also love doing them. They look so difficult to do, but all it takes is a little sponging and I love love love that. A little glitter and it all comes together. Amazing! Flip Flop February day 17: delicate print/newspaper

 

Day 17  of the challenge today. It seems to be going by so fast! But today is delicate print, or newspaper. And I don't have any alcohol to transfer the newspaper to my nails or I would have went with that one, because I was completely stumped on what to do for a delicate print. I ended up trying free handed lace, which I'm not really completely happy with, and not even sure it looks much like lace, but I tried. So lets get on with the nails. flip flop february day 16: animal print/stripes

So for today the theme we have is either Animal print or Stripes. And I LOVE animal print anything, and it's also SO FUN and easy to do. So the obvious choice was obvious. And for this look I chose to do giraffe print. I love zebra (I love zebras in general) And I love the leopard nails, but I don't see giraffe quite as often as either of those others so I thought I would try to do something a little different than everyone else might do. flip flop february day 15: stamping/jelly sandwich

Today for the challenge the theme is stamping or jelly sandwich.. and I decided on stamping. Mostly cause I have a set of plates that I pretty much never use, and I thought it would be a good idea to do just that cause otherwise.. they're kind of a waste so.  But anyways, click the link below to see what I came up with for today.

Today is day 14 of the challenge, and the theme is french tips or valentines day, and I chose to combine the two sort of. I really wanted to do french tips, cause I love them. How easy they are and how simple they look. And how much there is to do to them to ~spice up the look a little bit while still keeping that simple, classic look. But now lets get to the nails. Flip Flop February day 13: Watercolor/sponging

Today is day 13 in the challenge and the theme is watercolor or sponging, and I chose to do water color. I've never tried it before, that's mostly the reason for picking that one. But then I had another dilemma to decide one. Nail polish or acrylic paints for the look? So I got out my nail wheels and tried both options to see what worked best or gave me the look i thought i might want, and in the end, nail polish won that battle. But lets get on with the nails. Today is day 12 of the February challenge and the theme is Drips or Matte nails. I chose to do drips just simply.. well I wanted to do drips, I don't have a reason other than that to do it this time. Flip Flop February day 11. Today's theme is splatter or cocktail nails. I'm not sure I even know what cocktail nails are? I'm gonna have to look that up after I finish this post. But obviously because of that reason, and because I've been wanting to try it for a while now, I chose to do splatter nails. So, lets get to the nails shall we? Flip Flop February day 10: Fishtail braid/half moon

Today is day 10 of the challenge. Already on day ten, this is going by faster than I thought. but todays theme is fishtail braid or half moons. And I chose half moons, and not because it's easy, but because I'll be honest, I just dont like the braided nail look. At. All. I don't know why. I just don't. But half moons? Love them. Flip Flop February day 9: Abstract/Plastic wrap

Today is day 9 of the flip flop february challenge. Abstract or Plastic wrap. And I chose to do Plastic wrap. And apparently I really want winter to be over because I'm loving the bright pastel/spring type colors right now. But anyways, lets get on with the nails. lick the link below to see them

Flip Flop February day 8: color blocking/black and white

Day 8 of the February flip flop challenge, todays theme is color blocking or black and white, and I chose color blocking for my challenge. It turned out MUCH better than yesterdays. At least looks like what it's suppose to anyways, haha. Anyways, on to the nails!

 

The purple paint on my thumb wasn't quite dry when I went to put top coat over it, and it smeared. :( Other than that? This mani was nearly perfect! And Again, I love the colors together. It was very similar to doing the stained glass nails, only for stained glass the blocks of color are smaller. 

For this look I used sinful colors snow me white for a base colors, and all the other colors used are acrylic paints. Very simple to do, just like the stained glass nails, just out line where you want your color blocks to go, fill in with the color using a brush or dotting tool, then go over the black lines, making them and the colors stand out more.
