31 day challenge: Black and White

Hi y'all! I have another part of the 31 day challenge for you all today! The theme this time is black and white. I decided to keep it pretty simple and I love so much how these came out.

This will also be the last post for a while with all natural nails :( I'll explain that in the next post where I try a new type of post.

Anyways, onto these nails! I started with Wet N Wild Ebony Hates Chris as my base with Sinful Colors Snow Me White as the base for the accent nail. Any black or white will work the same.

For the black nails, I made flowers. These were so easy and simple! First, I made the flower shape with a dotting tool and white acrylic paint. Polish will work just the same for this, I just prefer the paint. Next, I used black acrylic paint and a slightly smaller dotting too to make the same shape inside the white one. I left just enough of the white showing to make it look like an outline. Then I dotted white in the center of the flower and put a few dots where the nails looked too empty.

For the white nails, I used black acrylic paint and a detail brush and just made random triangle shapes all over the nails. I thought these turned out super cute!

31 day challenge: Blue nails!

Hi ya'll! I have some more nail art for the 31 day challenge to share with you all today! These were a lot of fun to do and they follow the 'blue' prompt. I looove blue so I was so excited to work with a blue nail base.
Has anyone seen this commercial? Surely you have, but this is the best screenshot I could find/get from it, of the item I was after. These nails were inspired by the dress in this commercial. I just LOVE blue and orange together and when I seen this dress I just HAD to do nails like that, perfect fo the blue nail theme too, right?

For these nails I used Wet N Wild Chambray Showers And Listening ToBlue Reed, as well as Sinful Colors Snow Me White the base color is Chambray showers then I randomly dotted all three colors on a make up sponge and sponged over the nail to get a bit of a textured look. More depth to the look if you will. The flowers were done with Acrylic paint, orange and yellow and various mixes of those two colors to get the shade I wanted for them. Then the centers are dotted in with LA Colors Cactus and I just LOVE how all of these look! So much fun! And I'm getting so much better and more confident in my flowers. Mostly just super duper simple type flowers, but either way, they are flowers and they don't look horrible!

31 day challenge: Red nails

Hi y'all! I have some more nail art for you all today! I have decided to give te 31 day challenge another try so I can have a little bit of inspiration to get myself going again! If this rain ever lets up anyways! I can't get good pictures with all these cloudy overcast skies hidin my sun!

Anyways, for today's look the theme is Red Nails, and while I didn't want to do full on red nails, plus I don't have many red polishes to pick from anyways since I kind of avoid the color at all costs, I just did these red flowers instead.

I used Sinful Colors Starfish for the base which is kind of a nude pink color with just a hint of purple. I love how it looks on my nails and I looove the color. It kinda reminds me of a Mauve Crayola crayon.

The flowers were done with acrylic paint using the one stroke method for the flowers, then I outlines in black to separate out the petals, and added a dot of yellow in the middle. They were really fun and super easy to do!
Just as a bonus.. I thought it would be fun to show my process when I'm painting. This is what my hands usually look like after my nails are done. At least until they dry enough that I can wash my hands and scrub the paint off. I just use my fingers as sort of a 'pallete' I guess? They're close that the pallette I actually have and so it's easier to just wipe the brush right there once or twice when I end up with too much paint on the brush.. plus so long as it doesn't dry too quickly, i can just dip it right back in there when I need more.

Luckily, acrylic paint usually just pops right off once you run a little water over it, and if it doesn't, a little soap and rubbing at it does the trick.

ORange skittle nails!

Hi y'all! I have some more nail art to share with you all today! I wanted something a little more bright and summery, and we'd had some nice weather for a couple days so it was the perfect time! Plus, my mom had bought me a couple new polishes and I needed and excuse to use them.

I started this off with two coats of LA Colors Orange Crush and I had wanted daisies, but I don't know what happened. they came out looking more like fried eggs, haha. Then I did stripes on the pinky, and I've never done chevron stripes so I really wanted to try them out! All the details were don't with acrylic paint.

Hope you all enjoyed this as much as I did! Let me know what you thought in the comments below!

simple rose nail art!

Hi y'all! I have some pretty simple nail art to share with you all today but super fun and cute! Just some roses with a few little leaves added on as well. I was really happy with how these turned out and they were so much fun to do. I really need to get some more inspiration though! Halloween is coming up so trust me, that'll get me out of this funk. Hopefully. It's my favorite holiday and I have plenty of ideas in my head so it should, right? Right! We'll see! Anyways, keep reading to see more of these nails and ignore my rambling ;)
I started these nails off with three coats of Sally Hansen Instadri Chop Chop Copper which is a really lovely golden copper color with the most awesome little hints of pink glitters. So pretty! I should definitely use it a lot more often than I do. Then I just added some roses in pink and blue acrylic paints along the tip and side of the nail. I added some green leaves as well to add a little more detail to them as well!

Hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know what you thought in the comments below!

Black and white with roses!

Hi y'all! I have some more fun nail art for you all today! Some pretty simple black and white nails with dots and an accent of roses! I had sooo much fun doing these, and loved how they came out. They didn't turn out exactly as I pictured in my head but I think they came out even better than what I had in my head! They were so easy to do too! Click through the jump to see more

One stroke Butterflies with daisies

Hi y'all! I have some butterfly one stroke nail art to share with you all today! Really loved how these turned out! I tried butterflies once before this as well, and well, I didn't even finish it all the way as once I tried to get the shape of the butter fly on, it was just... not pretty. Looked nothing like a butterfly. So when I sat down to do these, I decided the one stroke butterflies would likely be much easier and they were! I love how these turned out so much! Bumble bee nails!

black-and-yellow-and-coral-bumble-bee-nail-art-fimo-cane-flowers
Hi y'all! I have some cute springy/summer nail art for you all today depending which you'd prefer to call it! I think it could work for both, there's bees out and about during spring and summer! This is something I've wanted to do for a while and just never did get around to it, and now that I finally have? It didn't quite turn out the way I pictured it in my head. It's cute and I love it, but It's not what I expected. The bee Mani's I see from other people always look so much cuter! But anyways, I'll shush and get to the nails. Dry Brush With Flowers

Hi y'all! I have another mani to show you today, simple dry brush technique and some flower. I've been doing flowers a lot lately, haven't I? I don't even know why, I don't even like flower pattern things, haha. Suppose I've just wanted to try to get better at it.

Sorry for the not too great picture - I have no idea why my lighting was off when I took pics of these but it just was not cooperating at all. Maybe cause there was no sun out to shine in the window and help with the lighting? Who knows. Anyways.

These were done with a base of Wet N Wild A Blank Canvas and then I used LA Colors Bliss, Flicker, and Pink Bubbles for the dry brush technique. I've been wanting to try this for a while, just haven't gotten to it. It's really easy, just pick your color and completely wipe the polish from the brush so that it's mostly dry and then paint it over your nail. The flowers on the accent nail were done with acrylic paint and a detail brush.

Let me know what you think in the comments and share if there's anything you'd like to see on the blog!

Stripes and Roses

Hi y'all! I have these fun rose nail for you all today along with a striped accent nail. I actually did a video for these, but it didn't turn out at all the way I was hoping, so I deleted it and said forget it. I've actually decided that I probably won't do videos very often, my camera I just don't think is meant for it, I can't get the lighting just right, and well, to be honest, I just don't like the editing process for it. It takes time away from the blog where I could be interacting and sharing with all of you. And yes, I definitely mean that, I would much rather be doing that than editing a video. Anyways, on to the nails!

Let It Snow Winter Challenge; Winter Flowers

Hi y'all! I have another challenge mani for you today! Today's theme was Winter Flowers and well.. I might have just did the flower part of it myself, haha. Not very good at that. I'm not too happy with this look, or the pictures, my camera just wasn't cooperating with me, so I only have one picture to show you above.

The base color is Wet N Wild Retro Mint and the rest of the details are acrylic paints.

Check out all the other themes and everyone elses flower looks below

Sugar Skull Inspired nail art!

Hi y'all! So I'm kind of in love with these nails. No really. I hated taking them off.
And I'm hoping my picture's have improved a little as I figured out more camera settings and played while doing these to get the best indoor light shots that I could. I hate walking all the way out to the backyard from my room just to take picture's outside in good light. Plus sometimes at night I want to do them and I'm like 'But I can't.. I can't take pictures til tomorrow when there's sun and what if I mess them up before?' so hopefully problem solved. Hopefully.

Now anyways, these were suppose to be Day Of The Dead/Sugar Skull nails but I'm not sure they turned out quite that, or that you could really call them just that. So we're going to say they're inspired by those things, okay? Okay. I just love the sugar skull look so much. They're so bright and colorful.

I did these using Wet N Wild A Blank Canvas for the white base color on the pinky and ring fingers. Then I made a french tip with scotch tape and Sinful Colors Rich In Heart on all the other nails. The rest of the detailed were done using acrylic paint and were REALLY easy to achieve.

What do you think of these nails? Let me know in the comments below!

Water marble wednesday!

Hi y'all! I've been slacking a little on the water marble Wednesday's. I've just been blah and uninspired to do water marbles, and then everytime I sit down to do one, it just doesn't come out right. But I swear to you, I'm going to try to get them out more often from now on. Let's say at least once a month from now on? More often depending if I'm feeling it or not.

This week is a little different though. This week I've teamed up with Polished by Audison to do a water marble Wednesday collab of sorts. And the ~theme we decided on was flowers. what that really meant was, we were sticking to the basic flower design of water marbling, but I took it just one step further and included flowers on my nails as well!

For this I started out with two coats of Sinful Shine Spitfire on all my nails. I used Wet 'N' Wild Wild Shine in Teal slowly and See, Listening to Blue Reed, and Who Is Ultra Violet? for the water marble on the middle and ring fingers. Let me just say by the way, these color's worked AMAZINGLY for water marbling, and I just love how they looked together. For the remaining fingers, I used a dotting tool, the purple from the water marbling, and LA Colors Bliss for the flowers. This are super simple and fun, and I just love how they turned out for once! I can't wait to keep getting better at this technique, it just makes for some super fun nails.

Be sure to check by Ashley's blog over at Polished by Audison to see what she does for water marble Wednesday. This girl is awesome at water marbles so you definitely won't be disappointed at all if you do!

extra relaxed 31 day challenge day 14: Flowers.

Not my best at all. But I'm just not good at flowers. And then the damn seche vite smeared my DRY acrylic paint when I went to put it on and reminded me why I hate it so much. The base of this is la colors in the nude and the rest is acrylice paint topped with horrible seche vite. Ruining nail art everywhere. I don't know why I bother trying to use it anymore, probably cause I have an almost full bottle just sitting on my shelf going to waste.

extra relaxed 31 day challenge day 11: Stripes

Todays 31dc nails are stripes. They came out really girly, and I kinda love them. I used sinful colors folly for the base (one coat too and it was perfect.) and the rest is acrylic paint, and freehanded. I really like how the stripes came out and how the colors went together. But my flowers look more like fried eggs, it's gross, haha.

What do you guys think about these nails? Love them or hate them? Let me know in the comments!
