Born Pretty Store Full Nail Water Decals!

Hi guys! I have one more born pretty store item to show you all after this! This was sent to me free of charge in exchange for a review and I loooove them! Just look how cute those flowers are! These are so so so easy to use too! This was the first time I used a full nail decal but they were so amazingly perfect and easy to apply! They were a little on the small side though, the smallest two just barely fit the nails I used them on, but they could be used for a partial decal if they're too small for your nails!

I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White as the base color, and the dots are an LA Colors mini. It came in a two pack with a purple mini and the pack itself was called Bloody Mary but the nail polishes themselves didn't have names on them.
They came in a package like this, and there are ten decals total and I chose to only use two as an accent for this look. But you could do all ten nails, or only one, if you wanted to.

They're made super simple to use by the directions on the back of the package. Except for one thing. It says to soak them in water, then slide them onto the nail off the paper backing. This is wrong. If you do this you'll get a solid white decal with the flowers barely showing through from the front.

What you want to do if remove the protective plastic from the front of the decal after you cut out the piece you want to use. Soak it in water for about 10-15 second. Then either using your fingers or tweezers, separate the paper backing from the decal and place it onto the nail. While it's still wet, slide it around to get it into the right position, (Make sure the polish underneath is totally dry before even starting the decal process), smooth it out to get any kinks and wrinkles out. let it dry, then fold over any excess at the tip and file it away then add your top coat and tada!

These are super easy, and would be great for those that would love to get more detailed designs, or even just simple designs, but aren't any good at nail art!

Double dotted dotticure!

Hi y'all! I promise I'm trying to get into the hang of posting regularly! I will get it eventually! I just need more inspiration for nail art that doesn't involve doing the same thing over and over again. That gets boring, amirite? Anyways, I have these dotted nails to show you all today!

Base color is Sinful Colors Tempest and then I used a dotting tool and two different colors to dot. The pinky got a little wonky, I think there was something stuck to my dotted and it wouldn't dot right :( But the dot colors are Teal: LA Colors Seafoam, Pink: Pumpin' Pink and I LOVED the color combination on these so much!

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed the post! Let me know what you thought in the comments below!

Funky French Valentines!

Hi y'all! I have some cute valentine nail art for you all today! Also bright and fun because I miss the sun! Please come back soon sun! Haha. Anyways. Valentines day is coming up in a couple days and I decided to do something fun for the occasion!

For this look I used Sinful Colors Soul Mate (Kinda perfect for the day of love, right? I didn't pick it on purpose haha) and for the accent nail, I finally put my Funky Fingers Glitter Matters to use! the purple and yellow were done with acrylic paint. I used a dotting tool to dot along the french tip (also freehanded. i couldn't find my tape?) and the round parts of the hearts were also done with a dotting tool, and then a detail brush to drag the two shapes together in a V shape to form the heart. Super easy and loved how cute these came out!

Hope you all enjoyed these as much as I did! Let me know what you thought in the comments below!

Hi y'all! I have some intricate looking dotted nail art to show you all today! I wanted a blue/orange combination when I set out to start this manicure and I really like how it turned out!

I started with my base color Wet N Wild The Clock Strikes Orange and Chambray Showers for the accent nail. I used a dotting tool and various acrylic paint colors to make the design!

Hope you all enjoyed this as much as I did! Let me know what you thought in the comments below!

Reindeer nail art!

Merry Christmas!!

reindeer christmas nail art sally hansen instadri s-pear time
Hi y'all! Long time, no post, huh? Well there was a reason for that! My nails for so brittle and icky that I gave up trying to save them and just cute them all down to sad little nubs. Which really made me kinda sad to be totally honest, they'd gotten so long and pretty and I was finally happy with the length! Then BAM! all gone. I've been posting a few mani's on the facebook page here and there, but nothing too crazy really.

Soooo I thought I'd share with you all that one of my goals for the new year is to get back to posting regularly! And my nails are finally at a decent length and not so sad again so I can happily do some more nail art to share with you all!

My posting schedule will go something like this. If you haven't noticed it already.
Tuesday & Thursday: These will be usual posting days so long as I'm not joining a challenge that has a different schedule, they will be my normal nail art posts mostly. I may do a 'throw back' type post on Thursday's every so often. Just to show how far along I've come with my nail art!
Saturday: Saturday will be for something new that will be starting this coming Saturday! I got to thinking; I originally started this blog as a nail art and Sims blog. Then later changed it to just nail art. I was thinking, a weekly sims post thrown in with all the nail art posts wouldn't be so bad though. So Saturday will now be known as Sims Saturday here! I won't be doing legacies or challenges like that, but just sharing the sims I've been playing. Likely the same family in most cases as thats just how I tend to play.
Sunday: Sunday is Bunday! This is the day to post about my house rabbit! At least when I remember to post. I started this back when I had Foofy, and I feel I should continue the theme with Valentina. I haven't shared much of her here.
Any days not covered: Any blank days will be used for anything I get to review, if I get any guest posts, or things like that. Pretty much anything that doesn't fit into the other days, will go into the empty days. Or if I'm working on a challenge, they may fill with those. we will have to see what happens with that ;)

And now that that's out of the way. If you made it that far and you're still ready, to the nail art that is up above! Christmas isn't at all even close to being a Holiday I like, so really, I didn't do much for my nails for the Holiday. But I did keep seeing these rudolph nail arts around and thought they were so cute! So I gave them a try.

I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri S-Pear Time for the base color,  and the rest was done with acrylic paint, dotting tools, and a detail brush. They were so simple and easy to do too! And I love how they came out. Only problem I had with them is... I was POSITIVE I had some red glitter nail art that I was gonna put on the red nose... but turns out I had no red glitter at all to use so it just got a plain red nose :(

Hope you all enjoyed the post! Let me know what you thought in the comments below!

Simple pumpkin pattern nails

Hi y'all!  today I have some more nail art to show you! These are just some simple Halloween/fall themed nails. These actually came out much much better than I thought they would. Almost as good as I pictured them in my head! So much sparkleness added to that accent nail as well! So pretty. Make sure to click through the jump to see more on this Mani!

Funky french tip with retro(?) dots!

Hi y'all! So I have some more fun nail art for you all today! My mom came home from walgreens with two new wet n wild polishes for me and I just HAD to use them both. This is what just popped into my head. A funky french tip with some retro-ish black and white dots going along the tip and up along one side. Really loved how these turned out!

Funny story as well, this will post a little while after this happened but still. So I had to go to the feed store to get stuff for my bunbun and as I open the door to go in, this guy's walking out, totally normal right? Right. Except I look up and he has a squirrel sitting on his shoulder. Totally tamed, and leashed squirrel, just you know, hanging out on his shoulder. Totally not something you see very often and so so neat to see up close! I got to pet her and everything. And now I totally want a pet squirrel. But enough of that. Continue on for more NAILS! lol.
So! I started with my base coat and then I used Wet n Wild Ferris-Wheel Romance (Pink) and Chambray Showers (Blue) to make the french tip on my nail. I didn't bother making them perfect, I was jsut planning on covering them with dots. Then I grabbed my black and white and black acrylic paints and my trusty dotting tool and started dotting away until I get them to look just how I wanted! Loved this look so much!

Hope you all enjoyed them as much as I did! Let me know what you thought in the comments below!

Black and white with roses!

Hi y'all! I have some more fun nail art for you all today! Some pretty simple black and white nails with dots and an accent of roses! I had sooo much fun doing these, and loved how they came out. They didn't turn out exactly as I pictured in my head but I think they came out even better than what I had in my head! They were so easy to do too! Click through the jump to see more

Queen + Adam Lambert inspired Mani!

Hi y'all! I have some more nail art for you all today! This is inspired by the Queen + Adam Lambert tour! I was really sad I didn't get to go to the date in my city because of lack of funds for it when they were here last month, but I was inspired by Adam's tour wardrobe to do some nail art, not to mention his tweet about the color scheme of sorts for the tour.

Adam is one of my favorite people everr. I love his music, and his voice is so so so amazing, he's literally makes anything sound good. And it's such and amazing and perfect fit for Queens music. It's so crazy how that worked out! Anyways, click through the jump to see more and plus some pics of the inspiration behind them!

Let It Snow Winter Challenge; Dots

Hi y'all! I have some gradient dots for you all today for the Let It Snow Winter Challenge. The theme for the day was dots, and I decided to do something a little different than just some plain ol' polka dots. These were really fun to do!

Black with orange polka dots!

Hi y'all! Today I have more halloween art for you. This one is super simple though. Something I threw in as I was trying to think of things to do for the month. This is also a rare look at my right hand. Wooo!

For this look all I did was use a black base color, and orange acrylic paint with a dotting tool to make the polka dots. These are my favorite plain ol' dots that I've ever done. There's not much more to it than that though!
What do you think about these nails? Let me know in the comments below!

Pointed French Tip With Polka Dotted nails!

Hi y'all! I know I'm lacking in posts right now still. I try to get one up at least once a week though, so I'm not disappearing for too much! I'm not scheduling posts right now though, I'm just doing them as I have something to post. Which also means, I might disappear after this week for a bit. I'm wanting to do a little Halloween/horror series for October and I want to fill as many days of the month as I can, so I want to get a little bit of a head start, starting now, and schedule it all up. I'll still be on the facebook page, maybe even posting previews, but the blog posts will probably be lacking until October. We'll see what happens though. I'll have one more post for you soon though, it'll be a special non NPR post though.

Anyways! Today I have for you this fun and bright look! I loooove this look so much and I'm so not excited about when it starts to chip cause I never ever want to take it off.

Things used:
Sinful Colors - Innocent (Green)
Wet 'N' Wild Wild Shine - Teal Slowly and Fall (Blue)
Wet 'N' Wild Wild Shine - A Blank Canvas (White)
LA Colors - Pink Bubbles (Pink)
Dotting tools!

This was super simple and fun to do, I just started with my base colors, then I free handed diagonal tips in each of the colors over the pink nails, used a dotting tool and the Pink, Blue, and Green to create random dots, both large and small, over the nail. It should be easy for you to all recreate if you'd like!

What did you think of this look? Would you wear it?

Orange and blue dot look!

Hi y'all! I finally have another post for you guys! I've been a little lacking on the posts lately, I've been doing a look and actually wearing it for nearly a week, and leaving my nails somewhat natural for a few days in between. GASP. Shocking for a nail blogger to do that, I know. But it's nice having a break from the challenges and just posting at my own pace right now. I'm thinking I'll be back in challenge mode by october though because I definitely want to find or host a good halloween challenge. Love halloween so much.

Anyways, today I have this simple dotted look for you. I did this using mostly just the wet n wild pop art craze polishes. I used The Clock Strikes Orange for the base and Listening To Blue Reed, and Teal Slowly And See for the blues. I just dotted over randomly with both colors, and on the accent nail I used striping tape in a quilted pattern and just filled in some of the diamonds with the blues. I topped the whole thing with China Glaze Fairy dust and learned that one coat of that stuff is plenty. What you see here is two coats. Not my best idea. But I really like how these came out overall! I didn't think I would, when I do random dotting over the nail like this, it rarely comes out right, but this all came together nicely and I love it. I'm sad actually that it'll have to come off soon.
Let me know in the comments below what you think of this look!

extra relaxed 31 day challenge day 12: polka dots

Todays challenge was polka dots! And well, I only did any accent polka dotted nail. I've had to file my nails down so short, that there really isn't much to do with them art wise right now so.. I'm not feeling doing anything fancy with them. Hopefully they grow out stronger though. I'm hoping. Anyways.

I used my ellagee neons for this look. Gnarly Green for the base and then I dotted on a white, and then Dude! over the white. The bright neon yellow wouldn't have shown up well on it's own, so I used the white to make it stand out better.

What do you guys think of these nails? Let me know in the comments below!

extra relaxed 31 day challenge day 9: rainbow

Today is week or day 9 of the extra relaxed 31 day challenge and the theme is rainbows. And I chose to do a dotted kind of rainbow.
There's so many colors here. The red is acrylic paint, the orange is wet n wild sunny side up, the yellow is sinful colors unicorn, the green is happy endings by sinful colors, la colors Aquatic is the blue, and the purple is a nail art striped by kiss that came in a set of three stripers. The accent finger is just black with two coats of ellagee polish crazy he calls me over it. Very pretty rainbow of glitters that was perfect for the theme! It's all topped off with a coat of china glaze fairy dust.

what do you guys   think of these rainbow nails? Let me know in the comments below!

disney nail art challenge day 5: Beauty and the Beast

Today is day 5 of the disney challenge, and the theme is beauty and the beast. For today, I tried drawing a character on my nails without a tutorial for the first time. This was done just looking at a picture of the little tea cup from the movie. And for not having a tutorial, I think it came out pretty neat. As my base colors, I have la colors bliss, lost soul, meadow, and daisy, in that order, and for the thumb, i have wet n wild tickled pink, and everything else is acrylic paint. I have Chip the tea cup on my middle finger, and for the others, I just did various designs in colors I used on chip to help bring out those colors more. All in all, Not my favorite, but definitely pretty good if you ask me.
And just for fun, this was me trying to figure out on paper exactly how to paint him the night before i did my nails. I think he came out better on the paper than on my nails.. but I think the problem on my nails was that i either made him to wide, or too short. oh well.

What do you guys think of thse? Do you like my beauty and the beast nails? Let me know in the comments below and check out everyone elses beauty and the best nails!

flip flop february day 28: Recreate your favorite day

Todays theme for the last day of flip flop february is to recreate your favorite day, and I went with recreating day 21 with dots! Not necessarily my favorite, but one of them, and I couldn't decide on a favorite so I just picked one.
And I don't know what's up with the lightning the last couple days, I think maybe the sun isn't coming in my window properly like usual. But anyways. For this look I used la colors daisy for the yellow base, and then used la colors in pink bubbles just a very bright barbie type pink, and made a diagnal strip across the nail. Then used a dotting tool for the dots.

Flip Flop February day 10: Fishtail braid/half moon

Today is day 10 of the challenge. Already on day ten, this is going by faster than I thought. but todays theme is fishtail braid or half moons. And I chose half moons, and not because it's easy, but because I'll be honest, I just dont like the braided nail look. At. All. I don't know why. I just don't. But half moons? Love them. And love doing them. So now that that's out of the way, lets get one with the nails. :) click the link below to see the half moon mani i did this time
