31 day challengeL Gradient nails

Hi y'all! We're back again today to continue the 31 day challenge! Today's theme for the challenge is gradient nails. I wanted something bright and fun to counter act all the rain we've been having lately! I hate it as it is, but it's definitely getting old now.

For these I decided on doing a circle gradient because.. it was a little different than the usual gradient. Plus, I've never done one before, so I also get to try something new at the same time. Fun, right? Right!

For these I started with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White and then I used Broadway nails Sunflower and LA Colors in Pumpin' Pink and Flicker to do the gradient. Just painted all the colors on a make up sponge and sponged them on. I wasn't too happy with how they turned out - this technique needs a lot of practice, but I think it was okay for a first try.
Annnd just for fun! I haven't shown you guys Valentina in a while. This is what we call a "Dead Bunny Flop" and Tina is an EXPERT at them. Imagine walking into the room and seeing that and getting no response whatsoever because bunny is in a super deep sleep.

It's heart attack inducing. I'm not even kidding. I freak out every single time.

Then she lifts and ear, or twitches her nose. Or her favorite, chewing or washing her face in her sleep which I guess she must be dreaming about eating or something and I take a great big deep breathe and go 'omg okay your fine' and she looks at me like 'wtf mom I was comfy and tired. now go away'

Neon Tribal Gradient!

Hi y'all! I've got some tribal neon gradients to share with you all today! These were super simple and fun to do! Please just exuse the rabbit fur in the picture - I didn't realize it was even there until I was editing just a second or so before writing this up. The joys or our awesome furkids, right? I know some of you have cats and have the same problem with the fur.

Anyways, these were wasy to do, you just need a make up sponge and your four colors of choice for the background. I chose to use neons, but you can use pastels or whatever you want if you don't like such a bright look.

For mine, I used two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White to start with and when that was dry I used a damp make up sponge and painted on my four colors in the areas I wanted each. I used Broadway Nails Sun Flower and Sour Apple (Orange and Green) and LA Colors Pumpin' Pink and Flicker (pink and yellow) for this look. But any neons you want would work the same! If you're using neons though, you def want a white underneath to make them really pop.

After I had my gradient built up to a nice opacity and looking the way I wanted it too, I cleaned up around my nails, then took my detail brush and black acrylic paint and did some simple lines to make a tribal look over the background. You could leave it as is with just gradient as well if you'd like, but that was too boring for my taste personally, and also, I like that the black design kinda brings the brightness down a little bit.

Glitter Gradient!

glitter gradient sinful colors sally hansen tempest big glitter top coat
H y'all! I have some more stuff to share with you today! These were some reviews I have to share with you. I got some of the holiday Big Glitter Top Coats from sally hansen but I just not got around to posting about them. (Of course.. I got them kind of late last month too so oh well) but they're so pretty! I used two of them here in this look.

I started with two coats of Sinful Colors Tempest and New York Color Tropicoral. and then I used the Big Glitter Top Coats to make a gradient on the tips of the nails. I used Goldi-flecks on the purpble and MeteorLight on the bright coral. I thought they can out really pretty! Formula is pretty much the same on them both, not as densely packed as the other Big Glitter Top Coat's I've tried so far but definitely have plenty of glitter in them. I did use a sponge to sponge the glitter onto the tips more densely to create the gradient. But there was plenty of glitter added with just a normal 1-2 coats if you just wanted to add some sparkle to your look!

Hope you all enjoyed this! Let me know what you thought in the comments below!

Snowflakes on Gradient background!

Hi y'all! I have some more nail art to share with you all today! And starting today I will hopefully be getting into a regular posting schedule while I explained in my last post here. I hope everyone had a good Holiday, Merry Christmas and Happy New Years and all of that! We've made it through another year! How exciting! And look at that cute ring I get to start the year off including in pictures! I got it from BornPrettyStore for less than a dollar which was awesome. Even if it did take four weeks to get, haha. But let me stop rambling and get on to the nail art.

I started these off with one base coat of white Sinful Colors Snow Me White but any white you have will get the job done. Then I use a make up sponge and LA Colors Meadow and Seafoam along with Snow Me White to make the gradient. I then topped that with one coat of Creations By Lynda Rainbow In The Dark (even though you can't really see it) and one coat of Sally Hansen Pearly Whites. Annnd then for the snowflakes I used a tiny little detail brush and blue and white acrylic paints. I really loved how these came out too!

Hope you all enjoyed these! Let me know what you thought in the comments below!

Queen + Adam Lambert inspired Mani!

Hi y'all! I have some more nail art for you all today! This is inspired by the Queen + Adam Lambert tour! I was really sad I didn't get to go to the date in my city because of lack of funds for it when they were here last month, but I was inspired by Adam's tour wardrobe to do some nail art, not to mention his tweet about the color scheme of sorts for the tour.

Adam is one of my favorite people everr. I love his music, and his voice is so so so amazing, he's literally makes anything sound good. And it's such and amazing and perfect fit for Queens music. It's so crazy how that worked out! Anyways, click through the jump to see more and plus some pics of the inspiration behind them!

Let It Snow Challenge; Gradient

Hi y'all! Second day of the Let It Snow Winter Challenge and I'm actually really happy with how these turned out! The Theme was gradient and I wanted something soft, subtle, and wintery to go alone with the challenge. I think I got just that.

I used a nude ( Wet N Wild 2% milk ), A light gray, ( LA Colors Lost Soul ), and a white (Wet N Wild A Blank Canvas ). and then I topped it all off with Kilox Opulent Top Coat and it came out really nice! a subtle gradient effect and the colors blended really well together! I have a tutorial on gradients here if anyone would like to check that out as well.

Let It Snow Challenge - Thanksgiving

Hi y'all! It's time to start up a new challenge! I missed doing them, I looove doing them, They're lots of fun and provide some inspiration when you're stuck on what to do. This one I'm co-hosting with Polished By Audison, which by the way, if you're not already, you should run over and follower her because she does some pretty awesome nail are along with AMAAAZING Water Marbles. But anyways on to the nail art for todays challenge theme.

The first theme in our challenge is Thanksgiving. We both know that yes, this is technically a fall holiday and shouldn't really be in a winter challenge, but it's our challenge, and we can do what we want, plus, it's a perfect place to start at.

For mine I did some Charlie Brown Thanksgiving nail art! Woo! I did a gradient of sorts, which is really subtle and apparently my camera didn't think being able to see it was necessary. The base is Sally Hansen Instadri Red-io Active and then I used LA Colors Cactus and Sinful Colors Courtney Orange to make the gradient. I have Snoopy on my ring finger, I'm pretty happy with how he came out, and I have Woodstock on my index finger. I'm not so happy with Woodstock to be honest. He doesn't quite look right as I didn't get the shape of him right to start with, knew it, couldn't get the black paint off, and just went with what I had to work with without completely redoing that nail. I think it's pretty decent as it is anyways, just could have been better. All the details are done with Acrylic paint by the way.
Hope you all enjoyed these nails and check out the rest of the themes of the challenge as well as everyone elses Thanksgiving looks below!

extra relaxed 31 day challenge day 10: Gradient

Day or week 10 of the 31 day challenge. And todays theme is gradient. I meant to have more pictures but none of them turned out right except this one. Bot my gradient i used sinful colors unicorn for my base color, this i sponged on unicorn, folly, and la colors meadow to make my gradient. And except for the index finger, I think it's one of my bed gradient, and the first i've used more than two colors. For my accent nail I stamped on a snake skin pattern, but we're gonna pretend I didn't because I suck at stamping.

What do you all think of these gradient nails? Let me know in the comments below!

Gradient tape Mani

This was what boredom came up with. haha. All I did was start with la colors pink bubbles as a base color, and once that was dry, I places pieces of striping tape randomly and then used a make up sponge and meadow, and daisy, from la colors as well, and made a gradient over the top of the pink and tape. Then took off the tape and TADAA. I then added a coat of la colors cocktail glitter and then topped it off with sally hansen insta-dri

And yes, there is a reason I'm hiding my pinky in the pictures. As shown here. I finished all all up, waited a few minutes after top coating, then went to put lotion on. Next thing I know my pinky is totally smeared and unsalvageable. There was no fixing that without completely redoing it! And well... I just wasn't about to do that. I don't even understand how they were all just as wet, and one gets messed up by rubbing lotion into my hands. Why weren't the all messed up like that? Sigh. I'm glad only one was messed up still. :)

What do you guys think of this look? Or the color combination? I love the colors together personally, and I love how simple and easy getting this look was (Minus the little pinky oops but ah well, we all have those moments right?) Let me know what you think in the comments!

flip flop february day 19: wings/outline

the theme for day 19 of this challenge as you see is wings/outline. I've been wanting to try both actually, but to add a little more detail an more of a challenge, for this one I picked wings to do, and assuming it meant butterfly wings, thats just what I did. flip flop february day 15: stamping/jelly sandwich

Today for the challenge the theme is stamping or jelly sandwich.. and I decided on stamping. Mostly cause I have a set of plates that I pretty much never use, and I thought it would be a good idea to do just that cause otherwise.. they're kind of a waste so.  But anyways, click the link below to see what I came up with for today.
