31 day challenge: orange nails

Hi y'all! I'm continuing the 31 day challenge today with the theme of orange nails! I decided to do orange slice nails just because I thought they would be fun and I've done them before so wanted to see how I could change them up and see the improvement since the last time which was back in 2012! I think there was a bit of improvement, and there is DEFINITELY a difference in the pictures! I've learn a lot in the last two years since those were posted! Anyways.

I started these off with LA Colors Orange Crush making half circle shapes on the tips of my nails and two coats over the whole nail for the accent nails. I used white acrylic paint to paint the orange slice design (all freehanded) and then I used some Fimo Can slices that look like oranges to add a bit extra to the look. (Just like the first time around ;) )

Thanks for reading! Let me know what you thought in the comments below and keep an eye out for the yellow nails for the next part of the challenge!

Funky French Valentines!

Hi y'all! I have some cute valentine nail art for you all today! Also bright and fun because I miss the sun! Please come back soon sun! Haha. Anyways. Valentines day is coming up in a couple days and I decided to do something fun for the occasion!

For this look I used Sinful Colors Soul Mate (Kinda perfect for the day of love, right? I didn't pick it on purpose haha) and for the accent nail, I finally put my Funky Fingers Glitter Matters to use! the purple and yellow were done with acrylic paint. I used a dotting tool to dot along the french tip (also freehanded. i couldn't find my tape?) and the round parts of the hearts were also done with a dotting tool, and then a detail brush to drag the two shapes together in a V shape to form the heart. Super easy and loved how cute these came out!

Hope you all enjoyed these as much as I did! Let me know what you thought in the comments below!

Skull Lace Nail art!

Hi y'all! I have a super special treat for you all today! I'm getting started on all my halloween looks and I am oh so excited that it's that time of year again! My favorite! What I have today are some Skull Lace nails inspired by Robin Moses, I'm too lazy to find the video and link it, but if you search for skull lace Robin Moses on YouTube you should probably find it.

These didn't quite turn out the way I had them pictured in my head, but I liked them anyways! I haven't quite gotten them down actually, until the last nail, (the thumb) Which is why the thumb is included actually!

Anyways, to do these I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White to make the french tips in a diagonal line, painting the full accent nail. Then I used a detail brush and black acrylic paint or all the rest of the details and then added some black studs I had along the center of the accent nail.

Hope you all enjoyed this looke! Let me know in the comments below what you thought!

Funky french tip with retro(?) dots!

Hi y'all! So I have some more fun nail art for you all today! My mom came home from walgreens with two new wet n wild polishes for me and I just HAD to use them both. This is what just popped into my head. A funky french tip with some retro-ish black and white dots going along the tip and up along one side. Really loved how these turned out!

Funny story as well, this will post a little while after this happened but still. So I had to go to the feed store to get stuff for my bunbun and as I open the door to go in, this guy's walking out, totally normal right? Right. Except I look up and he has a squirrel sitting on his shoulder. Totally tamed, and leashed squirrel, just you know, hanging out on his shoulder. Totally not something you see very often and so so neat to see up close! I got to pet her and everything. And now I totally want a pet squirrel. But enough of that. Continue on for more NAILS! lol.
So! I started with my base coat and then I used Wet n Wild Ferris-Wheel Romance (Pink) and Chambray Showers (Blue) to make the french tip on my nail. I didn't bother making them perfect, I was jsut planning on covering them with dots. Then I grabbed my black and white and black acrylic paints and my trusty dotting tool and started dotting away until I get them to look just how I wanted! Loved this look so much!

Hope you all enjoyed them as much as I did! Let me know what you thought in the comments below!
