Nightmare on Elm Street Nails!

Hi Y'all! I have some more spooky (or just plain bloody) nails for you today for the month of October! Today I have some Nightmare on Elm Street nails for you inspired by Freddy Krueger. I also did these nails for Halloween last year but I definitely feel like my skill and picture taking has gotten much better! My drips are definitely a lot better this time around!

This look was easy to do, just start with a red base color and add thick stripes of a dark green polish. I just used the brush on the polish since I wanted a thick line. I used a nude base for the blood drips, and a dotting tool to make the drips with a red polish. I really think I've finally gotten the drip look down. If only I can remember exactly how I did it.

Disney nail art challenge day 28: The Incredibles!

Last day for me of the disney nail art challenge! There's one more day after this, but I have no idea what to do for favorite movie because so many of my favorites were already included in the challenge itself. Pretty sad that this is all over with, but I'm happy to take a little bit of a break from challenges and give my nails a little bit of a break while I get them back in order. They need to grow out again! I'll still be posting, just probably not quite as often. 

Anyways, for this mani I used a base color of Milani Pearl Glaze on all the nails except the ring finger which I used two coats of La Colors Festive for that one. On the Milani nails I did a french tip of Sinful Colors Unicorn and dotted along the tip with LA Colors Festive then I used acrylic paint to make the little Incredibles logo on the ring finger. I actually did wear these for a few days, which means I was pretty happy with how they came out.

Water marble Wednesday Fourth of July edition!

Water marble Wednesday again, already?! Today is a bit special for my water marble though as I've included the fourth of July in with it. I know it's not til tomorrow, but my Disney challenge posts then, so you get Fourth of July a day early. 

Something else they tie into also, is my Uncle passed away over the last weekend, and his birthday would have also been on the fourth so it kind of works for both occasions.

For the water marble I used a base of Milani's Pearl Glaze and I used Sinful Colors Endless Blue and LA Colors Festive for the actual marble. I used those same red and blue colors on all the other nails to make a gradient as well. Then I found a star on one of my stamping plates and used Sinful Colors Snow Me White to stamp over the gradients. But just saying, I really, really really suck at stamping. It never works out well. But ah well.

My thumb is the one that stamped the best but it still isn't really good at all and not even close to being center.

Disney nail art challenge day 25: A bug's life

 Todays challenge theme is for A Bug's Life. This one.. isn't one of my favorites, and I think it shows. Though.. I did have something much better in mind when I did these, then I woke up that day with a sore scratchy throat and didn't feel like doing much of anything so I went the lazy way with it. Though even being lazy, I was gonna do french tips, but then when I sat down.. I didn't feel like it and just grabbed the red crackle. 

This was inspired by the circus lady bug, if you couldn't tell already. The base color is Milani Pearl Glaze and the red is a red crackle mini from Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers, part of their halloween line. The ring finger is the lady bug's face, details done with acrylic paint.

Donna Michelle and Milani swatches

 Last weekend I went to dollar tree for some foam boards to make another polish rack. My one is almost full, so a new one is definitely needed soon, plus, I'm using left over boards from the first and second one and I've put together a smaller rack for all the minis I've ended up with to get them off my other rack, cluttering it up. 

Anyways, you know, I couldn't go in dollar tree without at least looking at their polishes, sometimes they have good stuff in there for just $1 that would normally be $5-6. I ended up grabbing these two and thought I'd throw up some swatches of them for you all.
