31 day challenge - metallic nails!

hi y'all! I have another nail art look for you all today! Another of the 31 day challenge looks, this one is for metalic nails! I had no clue what to do with these so I just had fun with it.

I used LA Colors Live for the metallic base color and then I used black acrylic paint and a detail brush to make a heart and some zebra stripes on the nails. For the accent nail, I used scotch tape and cut it into a chevron shape. I placed it on the nail, painted over it, and pulled it off. Then outlined the shape with black paint.

I also have a fun video tutorial for you all to go along with this!

Queen + Adam Lambert inspired Mani!

Hi y'all! I have some more nail art for you all today! This is inspired by the Queen + Adam Lambert tour! I was really sad I didn't get to go to the date in my city because of lack of funds for it when they were here last month, but I was inspired by Adam's tour wardrobe to do some nail art, not to mention his tweet about the color scheme of sorts for the tour.

Adam is one of my favorite people everr. I love his music, and his voice is so so so amazing, he's literally makes anything sound good. And it's such and amazing and perfect fit for Queens music. It's so crazy how that worked out! Anyways, click through the jump to see more and plus some pics of the inspiration behind them!

Neon leopard and zebra print!

Hi y'all! Hope I didn't blind anyone with this Mani! Lol. They're so bright! I went with some simple leopard nail art with a zebra accent nail for today's look. Animal print of anything is sort of my go to look when I'm feeling stuck with coming up with anything, and these bright colors are just so summery I had to do something with them together. I think I blinded my mom with them though, she was kind of amazed at how bright they were. Though.. she did pick out the colors cause she bought them for me a few days ago. lol. So I'll blame it on her.

Let It Snow Winter Challenge; Water Marble

Hi y'all! Another challenge day! and todays theme is water marble. My water marble sort of failed and I didn't want to post them. But I also didn't want to redo them either. I hate that whole mess of a process and I was frustrated already so no way was I attempting to redo them. SO I thought, how can I make them look decent? And ta-da! Zebra print! I left my favorite alone as an accent and used some black acrylic paint and a small nail art brush to make the zebra print. Problem was solved!

I used Wet N Wild Teal Slowly And Fall and A Blank Canvas for the water marble, black acrylic paint for the zebra stripes, and NYC matte top coat to make the whole thing matte.

Let me know what you think in the comments below and check out everyone elses water marble manis as well!

Spider web + Zebra nail art!

Hi y'all! We have some more.. some what Halloween nail art for you today! I really wanted to do some Zebra print nail art, so I did both.

For the gradient, I started with a base of two coats of white and let it dry. For the actual gradient, I used LA Colors Spat!, Scream, and Wisteria. I painted them onto a make up sponge and made my gradient. When that was dry I used white Acrylic paint and a small paint brush to paint on the details. I topped it with a coat of KiloX Lacquers Opulent Top Coat to add some sparkle and then top coated! I really love how these came out!

Oh and look! I have a Pictorial to share with you as well today! I'll show you how to do the spider web design!

I guess the first step would actually be, to gather your materials needed. I used LA Colors Spat!, Wisteria, and Scream, along with wet n wild A Blank canvas, and white acrylic paint. Also a small paint brush, and a make up sponge. If you need to know how to do a gradient, my pictorial for that is here

Also, don't forget you're favorite base coat to help prevent staining your nails, and help your mani last longer, along with your favorite top coat.

1. Once you're background is dry, use your white acrylic paint. (keep in mind, you can use white polish, I just prefer the paint) and the small paint brush, and make three curved likes in the corner of your nail. Almost making a miss shapen half circle with the connecting curved lines.

2. Do the same thing as in step one, only make it a little bigger, a little above the first set of lines you made. So you have two half circles made from connecting curved lines, one slightly bigger than the other.

3. Now you draw two straight lines through from the point of the larger half circle, all the way down to the end of the nail. The points of each set of curved lines should line up pretty well, but they don't have to be perfect. The straight lines should meet at the end of the nail, sort of like your were making an upside down "A"

4. Both of these steps are optional. But I used my KiloX Opulent Top Coat and put one coat over the nails, then I pressed a little gem stone in the corner of the spider web with it was still wet.

5. Add top coat, and you're done! Now you have a cute Halloween spider web mani!

What do you think of this look? Did you like the pictorial? Would you like to see more how-tos? Let me know in the comments below!

Animal print skittle nail art! + Bunday Sunday!

sinful colors unicorn la colors la creme whipped spat! animal print skittle nail art manicure
Today I have a quick skittle manicure to show with you. I love love love animal print nail art in general, and I got this in my head and that it would be something fun to do and I threw it together.

The pinky and middle finger base is LA Colors La creme, the index is LA Colors Whipped, the thumb is LA Colors Spat! and the ring finger is sinful colors Unicorn. I used La Creme to make the spots on the index finger and all the other details are acylic paint.

We have a tiger print on the thumb, something I haven't done before and doesn't look that great because I was trying to make it not just look like an orange zebra. The index finger is a leopard print. The middle finger is a zebra print. Giraffe print on the ring finger. And the way out of place cow print on the pinky finger. I couldn't think of anything else to do and I wanted it to be a true skittle manicure with all fingers being something different, so even though it doesn't really fit in with the other animals, I used it anyways.
