Watermelon nail art! + Bornprettystore brush review!

Hi y'all! I know I haven't been posting a lot, this is due to a LOT of nail breaks. Everytime I get them grown out a little or almost all even again, another one breaks. But, just this past sunday I've started taking Biotin and cut them all down even with the shortest one in hopes that they will grow out healthier. Maybe they just needed a fresh start!

Anyways, these are my little nubbins now, I did some cute summer nail art with some press samples I've recieved lately! (I'll have a full swatch and review of the sally hansen ones as soon as I can. I'm trying to get a little more length first)

I did these with a base coat of Sally Hansen Vandal Eyes and I used acrylic paints in pink, green, and black for the other details which were painted using a brush sent to me by bornprettystore! The brush is AMAZING! no seriously, if you're into nail art, and more on the advanced side of it, you should invest in one of these brushes (Or maybe ten so you have backups just in case.) I love it so much! And it's such a neat little tool! Comes in a package all nice and neat and has this nice little lid that goes over it like a pen to keep the brush from getting ruined from improper storage or just accidently setting it the wrong way or.. whatever! It's sooooo perfect! And it's so so tiny, even more so that I thought it would be when I picked it. So definitely pick one up if you love doing highly detailed designed with teeny tiny little pieces!

You can get your very own for just $5.98 right here

Neon Tribal Gradient!

Hi y'all! I've got some tribal neon gradients to share with you all today! These were super simple and fun to do! Please just exuse the rabbit fur in the picture - I didn't realize it was even there until I was editing just a second or so before writing this up. The joys or our awesome furkids, right? I know some of you have cats and have the same problem with the fur.

Anyways, these were wasy to do, you just need a make up sponge and your four colors of choice for the background. I chose to use neons, but you can use pastels or whatever you want if you don't like such a bright look.

For mine, I used two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White to start with and when that was dry I used a damp make up sponge and painted on my four colors in the areas I wanted each. I used Broadway Nails Sun Flower and Sour Apple (Orange and Green) and LA Colors Pumpin' Pink and Flicker (pink and yellow) for this look. But any neons you want would work the same! If you're using neons though, you def want a white underneath to make them really pop.

After I had my gradient built up to a nice opacity and looking the way I wanted it too, I cleaned up around my nails, then took my detail brush and black acrylic paint and did some simple lines to make a tribal look over the background. You could leave it as is with just gradient as well if you'd like, but that was too boring for my taste personally, and also, I like that the black design kinda brings the brightness down a little bit.

Beach scene nails!

Hi y'all! I have some fun beach scene nail art to share with you all today! I had a lot of fun painting these and as you'll notice, my nail shape has changed again. I loved the pointy shape, but I just.. couldn't keep them. I felt like I was going to gauge my eye out with them. Not to mention everytime I went to pet Valentina I was afraid I was going to scratch her or poke her in the eye with them. So I rounded off the point and as they grow out more, I'm going to start working them back into squares. I think that's the best shape for me but I'm definitely hating these rounded nails :( anyways, click through the jump to see more of this nail look!

Summer tribal nails!

Hi y'all! I have some super fun neon tribal print nail art for you all today! and something even a little bit crazy! I got bored and changed the shape of my nails. And I say this is crazy because I'm pretty much a creature of habit and change scares me, especially with my nails and considering i'd just gotten them to a length I'd liked. I debated over this for a while, I didn't think I'd like them and then what? I'd have to cut all the length away to get back to my square shape that I know I DO like. Thankfully though, that didn't happen. I debated over them after I did it. Do I like them? Do I hate them? Are they just okay? Well, once I painted them I was much happier with them! They look soooo much better painted than they do as naked nails this way but either way I really really like them and think they're some cute little mini claws. Click through the jump to see more!

Neon leopard and zebra print!

Hi y'all! Hope I didn't blind anyone with this Mani! Lol. They're so bright! I went with some simple leopard nail art with a zebra accent nail for today's look. Animal print of anything is sort of my go to look when I'm feeling stuck with coming up with anything, and these bright colors are just so summery I had to do something with them together. I think I blinded my mom with them though, she was kind of amazed at how bright they were. Though.. she did pick out the colors cause she bought them for me a few days ago. lol. So I'll blame it on her.

Whoooo live in a pineapple under the sea?

Spongebob Squarepants! Hi y'all! Sorry couldn't help myself! It's all I could think about while I was doing these super cute pineapple nails. These were super fun and simple to do. They just might be perfect for a fun tropical themed summer party as well ;)

I really didn't want to take these off at all once I did them but you know, the life of a nail blogger, right? Anyways, click through the jump to see how I did these fun summer fruit nails!

Watermelon nail art

Hi ya'll! I have some more cute fruit nail art for you all right now! This time I did some watermelon nail art! I loved how these came out so much and they were just so so cute!

Something else I wanted to share with these as well. I recently went to Dollar General hoping to get some new LA Colors polishes. Sadly, those were gone, (Or possibly moved? I'll have to look through the store better next time) and they were replaced with a new brand. Broadway Nails High Shine Nail Polish. They were also only $1 each so I thought, why not try a few? WELP! while, I haven't tried the colors I got yet, I have tried the base coat I grabbed (Who can resist a $1 basecoat that might actually possibly work?) and I LOVE it. When I did this Mani on a Monday, I left my right hand with just the base color, Basecoat under it, and NO top coat. Normally, even with my wet n wild base coat of choice, this means it chips quickly, but not this time! The broadway nails basecoat kept it in place with one very minor tip wear until I took it off that same Friday. Awesome right? RIGHT! Now, we'll get to the actual nail art, aha.

Bumble bee nails!

black-and-yellow-and-coral-bumble-bee-nail-art-fimo-cane-flowers
Hi y'all! I have some cute springy/summer nail art for you all today depending which you'd prefer to call it! I think it could work for both, there's bees out and about during spring and summer! This is something I've wanted to do for a while and just never did get around to it, and now that I finally have? It didn't quite turn out the way I pictured it in my head. It's cute and I love it, but It's not what I expected. The bee Mani's I see from other people always look so much cuter! But anyways, I'll shush and get to the nails.
