Creations By Lynda Toil and Trouble Duo Review!

 Hi y'all! I have these two Creations By Lynda polishes to show you all today! These are from her limited edition Toil and Trouble Halloween duo and I loved them both so much! And no I promise I'm not just saying that ;) These were amazing to work with and the colors were perfect! 

The cost of these polishes are about $10 each or $20 for the set, the price is slightly higher than her polishes normally are due to the linear holographic pigments in them. The set also comes with a separate bag of black cat and orange pumpkin holo glitters.  But lets get started! 

Creations By Lynda Votive Candle!

Hi y'all! I have something a little different for you all today! It's not nail polish related, or nail related at all to be fair, but I got a candle sample from Creations By Lynda along with some polishes (Which will be up soon as well!) which are new to her shop! 

She sent this neat little votive candle, which is made from soy wax and about 2 oz. It's also scented with pure essential oils! They come in many different scents which you can pick from the candle scent list on her site, and they come in single color/scents, dual color/single scent, or dual color/scent.

Please excuse the image quality. I should have known better not to get more options for pictures to use :( My light box just doesn't cooperate with me anymore. Sigh. Also, I'm not really sure how to review a candle so I'm kinda winging this. 

Anyways, the scent I picked for my candle was Lavender Cucumber Sage. I was actually expecting a more lavender scent to it, but it was more cucumbering than anything and actually smelled really soapy, i don't know how else to explain the smell, but for me, it just wasn't what I was expecting. That was all on me and what I picked though and no fault of the makers. The candle itself was really well made, and burned for quite some time despite it's rather small size, I burned it for several hours, and had I had a holder to put it in, instead of the plate which made it all melt down faster, it would have lasted much longer. 

This candle lists for about $2.75 in Lynda's shop and as I said, come in a variety of scents (Any of the scents available on her shop) and can be single color/scent, dual color/single scent, or dual color/dual scent.

Sleepy Hollow nails!

Hi y'all! I have some Sleepy Hollow inspired nail art to share with you all today! I looove this show and I'm so excited that the second season is starting in just a few days, I thought I just had to do something on my nails for the occasion. Does anyone else watch this show? 

Anyways, for the look I started off with two coats of NYC Black Lace as the black, and then I used a make up sponge and various shades of light to dark gray acrylic paints to get sort of a misty haunted forest look. Then I used the darkest of grays to paint in some dead spooky tree's hiding in the mist. On the ring finger I tried to do the headless horseman as a silhouette or something like that but it definitely didn't work the was I was hoping it would. Overall I was really happy with how these turned out though!

Sally Hansen Miracle gel swatches!

Hi y'all! today I have three shades of the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel line to share with you all which were sent to me by Sally Hansen to try out and review here for everyone. I really want to grab some more of these colors to be totally honest! 

These were new for me to work with, I've never tried anything like them. The closest I've tried to gel is the Sinful Shine line of polishes which is not at all gel but just a gel shine effect. (Which aren't any shinier than other polishes if you ask me, but I don't get the craze of OMG IT'S SO SHINEYZ I NEED THE SHINY THINGS. So I don't see the shine as well as some of you do unless it's so shiny that it's really really obviously more shiny than another polish, lol) 

This line of polishes though, while they're not true gel polishes, they do not require a UV/LED lamp for curing. The top coat DOES have UV properties and as such, it's not recommended to use these polishes in direct sun or other uv light. The way they work, is the base or 'color' coat has one ingredient, and the top coat has another and when used together, it makes the color coat 'set' and dry. I did seem to have trouble with them drying on their own but pretty instant with the top coat. 

By the way, the top coat? While it's not a quick dry, it IS dry within a matter of minutes. And I've heard others mention that if you happen to have a lamp already, or want to sit out in the sun (if at all possible, winters coming, there might not be much sun!) for a minute or two, that it helps to set things and dry it even faster, though is totally optional. 

One thing I found a little odd about these polishes is even hours later, they don't feel fully dry. they're dry to the touch but they still feel slightly sticky and like they could dent. And in some cases, they can be dented but... they smooth themselves right back out!! Totally crazy right? I love how it was like this and that I could bump my nails against something and not worry about denting. So even if you use these and they still feel wet hours later, they're not! Totally dry, just squishy and dentable but fix themselves. And anyways, lets get on to the colors I got to show you all! 

Funky french tip with retro(?) dots!

 Hi y'all! So I have some more fun nail art for you all today! My mom came home from walgreens with two new wet n wild polishes for me and I just HAD to use them both. This is what just popped into my head. A funky french tip with some retro-ish black and white dots going along the tip and up along one side. Really loved how these turned out! 

Funny story as well, this will post a little while after this happened but still. So I had to go to the feed store to get stuff for my bunbun and as I open the door to go in, this guy's walking out, totally normal right? Right. Except I look up and he has a squirrel sitting on his shoulder. Totally tamed, and leashed squirrel, just you know, hanging out on his shoulder. Totally not something you see very often and so so neat to see up close! I got to pet her and everything. And now I totally want a pet squirrel. But enough of that. Continue on for more NAILS! lol. 

So! I started with my base coat and then I used Wet n Wild Ferris-Wheel Romance (Pink) and Chambray Showers (Blue) to make the french tip on my nail. I didn't bother making them perfect, I was jsut planning on covering them with dots. Then I grabbed my black and white and black acrylic paints and my trusty dotting tool and started dotting away until I get them to look just how I wanted! Loved this look so much!

simple rose nail art!

 Hi y'all! I have some pretty simple nail art to share with you all today but super fun and cute! Just some roses with a few little leaves added on as well. I was really happy with how these turned out and they were so much fun to do. I really need to get some more inspiration though! Halloween is coming up so trust me, that'll get me out of this funk. Hopefully. It's my favorite holiday and I have plenty of ideas in my head so it should, right? Right! We'll see! Anyways, keep reading to see more of these nails and ignore my rambling ;) 

I started these nails off with three coats of Sally Hansen Instadri Chop Chop Copper which is a really lovely golden copper color with the most awesome little hints of pink glitters. So pretty! I should definitely use it a lot more often than I do. Then I just added some roses in pink and blue acrylic paints along the tip and side of the nail. I added some green leaves as well to add a little more detail to them as well!
