Osis dust it hair powder and Broadway nails imPRESS press on nails review

A couple weeks ago I got my second box from Influenster.com. The spring fever vox box, and it had quite a few fun items in there. I haven't gotten around to writing about or using some of the things just yet, but I bring you two of them today! So, let's get on with the review.

And for those of you that don't know what influenster is, it's a website where you can earn badges for filling out surveys and writing reviews on products to up your score, the higher your score the more likely you are to qualify for boxes. When you're picked, they send you a box full of different items to try, test, and review, and the voxbox badge has different things to do for the box like posting a picture of it to instagram, twitter, etc, and there's activities to do for each item in the box as well.

First we have the Broadway nails imPRESS press on manicure kit. and the packaging for this is really cute! I love how it looks like a little nail polish bottle but it's not at all! It comes with 24 press on nails, a prep pad and a little nail file for filing off any rough edges on the nails. I got mine in the color Just Say Yes, a bright, nearly neon, pink. I was kinda sad when I got mine that I didn't get any of the cool design ones and only a solid color, but at least they were a pretty color.
I'm not a fan of press on nails myself, I either don't know how to size them right, or they just don't make sizes good for my fingers because they never fit right and you can tell that they're fake nails. With that said, these did actually do what they said. They backing was a little hard to peel off the nail, and the nail's kinda flimsy so easy to break if not careful with them. But they did stick really well, and stay well too. I had a couple fall off but it was because I tried to peel an orange with one, forgetting i was wearing fake nails. And the other was cause of the odd shape of my index finger nail on my left hand, it didn't stick well in the first place. I wore them for the weekend, from friday-monday and they would have lasted a few days longer, but I was ready for them to be off and actually had to use a little acetone to loosen them up. The glue of them peels off well too with out leaving a stick residue behind or damaging the nail, so that was a big plus!

Overall, these aren't for me, but I think if you want a quick manicure, can't do nail art very well on your own, or something like that, these would work well. They'd be awesome if you have a special event to go to, and want your nails to look nice but don't normally paint them or anything. They just peel and stick and probably would have actually stayed on for at least a week if I would have left them on. Definitely worth the price for a quick manicure for someone that doesn't do their nails often!

the second product we have is this OSIS+ dust it mattifying powder. It's suppose to add volume and texture to your hair.

Before Osis

After Osis

To be honest? There was no difference at all. I was kinda wondering how a powder would do much of anything to actually style you're hair as it was, but then after using it, it definitely didn't do anything at all. I don't really like using products in my hair at all anyways, plus there's sooo many chemicals in hair products that are bad for both you and your hair, it's not cool at all. So I typically don't use them. I thought a powder was something I might be able to deal with, if it worked. But nope! It did nothing besides maybe taking some of the shine away. Maybe my hair is just so long it doesn't make a difference cause it weighs itself down though? I don't know. I'll be handing this product off to my niece to see if she wants it to try out, for me though, this is definitely not worth the $24 price tag attached to it at all.

That's all I have for today! What did you think of these products? Anyone else use influenster and get this box?

**These products were sent to me by Influenster.com free of charge for testing and reviewing purposes**

  1. I've tried the Impress nails before and there okay for me. They were too big for my small nail beds so they were kind of uncomfortable to wear.

    1. There good nails if you like wearing fakes or just want to throw them on before a date/job interview/etc so you have nice looking nails for something like that. Probably meant more for someone that doesn't paint their nails a lot like us nail bloggers, lol.

And I also have the same problem with having small nail beds, and it's hard to size them just right, so they can be uncomfortable and not look that great.
