Hi y'all! I have some 4th of July nail art for you all today with some super cute firework nails going on, which is also doubling as a review for this Sally Hansen Color Frenzy Glitter Topper that the company sent me to review!
This Mani didn't quite some out the way I hoped as the 'fireworks' didn't come out the way I wanted, but I really loved it other wise. And also? I am so tired right now while writing this, so please over look it if there are any spelling errors or anything like that. I think a nap is definitely on the schedule for today or I am never going to make it through. Anyways. Click through the jump to see more and what I thought about the glitter topper from Sally Hansen!
I started this Mani off with two coats of Sinful Colors Rain Storm and then on the ring finger and pink I used two coats of Sally Hansen Color Frenzy in Red, White, and Hue then I used acrylic paints to use on the other fingers to make my 'fireworks' It was pretty cute, but it didn't come out the way I pictured it in my head.
The Sally Hansen Color Frenzy polish I am LOVING. I think next time I will have to try using thinner coats as it went on with the clear base being really thick and it bubbled as it dried (You could only see it really up close so not too noticeable, but still annoying.) But this polish is meant to be used as a 'choose your own coverage' as it, it should be able to be worn as a topper with very little glitter pay off, or be worn with a lot of glitter pay off, or maybe even on it's own. I found that it is very easy to get the amount of glitter you want with this polish, I don't know about wearing it on it's own, but it could definitely be built up to cover quite a bit of the base color if you wanted. This is two coats shown. One of the only things I didn't like is it caused my nails to stain, when I took the Mani off the pinky and ring finger were splotchily (Is that a word? No? It is now) stained red, and it was only those two fingers I used this polish on so I know that was the cause. Other wise I'd say grab it if you see it! It's much better than Beach Ball from their xtreme wear collection.
Hope you all enjoyed this! Let me know what you thought in the comments below!
This is nice! That glitter is perfect for the 4th of July too.
