Today I have a few swatches for you! (With 6 more on the way soon) I went to dollar general.. with the intention of getting new polishes, and ended up buying 9 new ones. Three of them being some of the Wet 'N' Wild Mega Last shades. One of which I've been wanting for quite some time and never managed to pick up when I've seen it, but I finally did today! Anyways, lets get on to the swatches.
First up we have Club Cabaret which is a glitter topper. It has black, red, and silver hex glitters in a clear base. It's one of the new colors in the line and I've wanted it since I seen it. Mostly because I LOOVE the look of black glitters when I see pictures of them and this is the first one I've owned. I would do without the red glitter personally, because I'm not a big fan of red, but I think it looks awesome mixed in with these. It's so pretty. It was pretty easy to apply as well, here we have just one coat over I Need a Refresh Mint and I actually really like it over this color as well. It was a glitter that required the dabbing method to apply evenly though, as the brush would just pull all the glitter right off the edge of the nail and back onto the brush if I tried to apply like any other polish color. It wasn't too much trouble though.
Next up we have I Need a Refresh Mint which, the name would suggest is a minty color, and all the pictures I've seen of it suggest the same, but it's not! This is the one that I've been wanting for quite some time and for some reason have just never picked it up til now. I think it's mainly cause in walgreens.. sinful colors always distracts me before I make it to the Wet N Wild display. But, this is more of a sky blue color than a minty color in person, and in these pictures as well. But that's okay because it's already become my new favorite blue! It's sooo pretty and it was so easy to apply, it had full coverage almost in only one coat, with a few little streaks here and there, which is why I went ahead and did a second coat to smooth it all out. So, this is two coats with no top coat.
Last but definitely not least at all, we have Retro Mint, It's a shimmery mint green color. It has blueish and silverish shimmer throughout it and it's soo pretty. I'm in love with the minty green colors, whether the darker ones like this, or the lighter pastel type versions of them. I just love them, so of course I had to have this one when it was sitting there on the shelf. It looks to me like it would be similar to Sinful Colors Mint Apple so if that's one you've been looking for and can't find, this would be an awesome alternative. This one was super easy to apply as well, there was no streaking or anything like that. This is just two thin coats and no top coat. It's going to be my go to minty green probably any time I want one too. At least until I add more to my collection, I tend to play favorites til new ones come along, haha.
Another thing about these polishes, because I see some people complain about the brush on the mega last polish line. It is a much larger, kinda flat, wide, brush. I LOVE the brush on these myself, but if you have smaller fingers (the brush covers the whole width of my pinky almost in one swipe) this brush may not be for you. Obviously what works for one person may not work for another, but if you've seen people complain about the brushes on these, and it throws you off from buying them? Change that right now! Grab one and see how it works for you, you might be like me and love the brush on these :)
