Hippie Peace sign and tye dye!

Hi y'all! It's been a while since I've actually posted anything here, sooo sorry about that! I got out of the habit of posting and all that while getting settled with Valentina. (I need to share new pictures of her soon!) But anyways, I have some peace sign nail art to share with you all today. It's a super fun skittle Mani with peace sigsn and a tye-dye accent nail. I have no idea where I got the idea from, it just popped into my head and I had to do it! So here it is! Hope you enjoy it! Click through the jump to see more and see how I did these!

For this look I had to use a bunch of new polishes I've gotten, (Mostly anyways) My mom came home from the store a couple days in a row with new polishes for me, one I already had, the others I didn't, but I used all four of them in this Mani. The pink is Sinful Colors DareDevil and the teal is Rise & Shine by Sinful Colors also. And the other two are Rimmel London, Big Green Eyed Monster, is the green and the yellow is, Sunny Days.

The colors are so bright and fun I had to do something equally as fun to go with it them. I was a little disappointed in the Rimmels. She bought them cause they were on sale suuuper cheap but they claim to be one coaters and dry in 60 seconds or less. The yellow actually could have used a third coat, and it definitely wasn't dry in 60 seconds. (proven by the fact that I smudged a nail before I got to take pictures. Thank god for slight photoshopping.) Other than that, they're good polishes, just don't buy them expecting them to live up to their claim of only needing one coat!
For the nail art I used acrylic paints in various colors and a tiny little detail nail art brush. Everything is free handed on. For the tye-dye, I just started with the red, made a swirl for the outline and base of where the colors would go, then went back over it to thicken it up, purposely making the edges kinda ragged. Then added the other colors and went back over each color several times until I was happy with how it looked.

Hope you enjoyed this! Let me know in the comments below what you thought and if there's anything you'd like to see me do on future blog posts!

  1. I love the ring nail design the most! Very fun hippie inspired nails.
